  • A message from our incoming friend/foe: the Tax Man 🧍‍♂️🙋🏼‍♀️ I recently attended a seminar on 2024 taxes, 'Small Business Tax Management' to be specific.... and, well, the Tax Man had a number of things to say for the general public. Including: 💬 "Ronald Regan famously stated, 'Scary words are, I'm from the government and I'm here to help,' But we're not like that. We're really here to help." 🤷‍♀️So, what do you think?- What is the IRS employee's role? - The IRS's?      "Meet with us at the IRS about your problems. Use our resources to help... Come to the in-person offices for an appointment... You can pay back pennies on the dollar if things go wrong..." - IRS guy's advice at the lunch and learn 🥙🧐

    No need to overpay on your taxes. 💸 This isn't school, and as the IRS guy said, "there's no extra credit!" (except here, on Kelly Tutors... Comment below within the next 24 hours for an extra credit treat!!)

  • Do you own a business? What's stopping you??? It can have its perks, for sure... different businesses have different needs... you know? 🛒😅
    You should know this, cause the IRS knows! 👩🏻‍💼 🙋🏼‍♀️ There is money to be saved and made in entrepreneurship.

    That last trip you went on? If you own a business, you talked about it.. maybe even DID business there... 😎 And, hey, even "networking may count as marketing," says the IRS guy. He was the one who brought this up!

    🕴️ Keep track of your expenses. 📝👍🙂 It's boring but it saves you a lot of money.

    🎟️ If your business needs these things to survive (and thrive), sure as heck may be a business expense.

    It's even worth it for you to try and see if you can do your own taxes. You may surprise yourself A LOT- and it's a good foundation to build off of. 🧱🏗️

    He     said "AI and YouTube tutorials" are better to help navigate their website than searching their own website, because even they know their services are terrible.

    HOW is this okay when it’s OUR tax dollars, our essential services, and the entire system just relies on word of mouth or randomly finding things online?! Meanwhile, they openly admit that the #1 issue is people being “uneducated about taxes”… yet they’ve made it MEGA complicateddddd?! AHHH!?!? 🏞️🦗

    -By having the best services? Nope.
    -By having thousands of great reviews and decades of experience/quality work? Not always.

  • 😅😂. Trying to climb your way to the top and make calculated friends? A net worth focused network? 😅🔔Better throw some tax-professionals into the mix. 🙋🏼‍♀️ Chatting with them will help you save a BUNCH of money on the new tax breaks. Why? CAUSE THE IRS RELEASES INFO ONLY THROUGH THEIR (famously terrible) WEBSITE and/or JUST THROUGH WORD OF MOUTH. 😅So, yeah. You need friends in the industry, cause it's just how it works.   • IDK about you, but I'm sick of talking about taxes. And the season isn't even over yet!!! 👉 (Not till April 15th... 25 days from now. *you're welcome ☺️😇) 😂 It's fun to talk about random things, but oof--- we've already covered it for over a week!!! Enough, enough already IRS, enough!!!Taxes are great when they help us, but if I've learned anything from this topic, my biased summary is that the IRS prides itself in having services that are out of date and require lots of work to do correctly. Poor customers service!? What kind of business model is that? Eew.
